Big Brother Africa is Back

With its all-star cast, massive online statistics and 91 days of relentless entertainment, Big Brother Africa V was a huge success.

The sexy and often controversial season featured a cast of fourteen former Housemates in two very different locations, and delivered beyond anything viewers had anticipated. In other words, it was a tough act to follow.

However, this hasn’t given M-Net or production company Endemol cause to hold back: Season VI has been announced and and is open to anyone over the age of 21, so it could be you that your cross-continental neighbours are tuning in to watch! If you think you have the “BBA factor”, fill out the online application form here – entries are open until 27 February.

For the sixth season in a row, Don’t Look Down Entertainment will be creating, managing and moderating the show’s digital content, building on 2010’s successful social media strategy: multi-platform publication that leveraged real-time events in the house to move users through a series of sites, including the official website, Facebook and Twitter.

DLDE also designed and managed the messaging to on-air service, moderating the resulting 1 000 000 messages sent to Big Brother Africa’s 24-hour TV channel.

Ultimately, Don’t Look Down’s client, DStvO, won Gold at the 2010 Bookmark Awards for Big Brother Africa All Stars’s integrated campaign – another tough act to follow but one that DLDE look forward to topping.
