Survivor SA: Season IV

The fourth season of Survivor SA is currently airing on M-Net on Thursdays at 19:30, and once again Don’t Look Down is providing vital digital support for the super reality series.

Survivor SA: Maldives mixes up the everyday and the out-of-the-ordinary, pitting two mischievously crafted teams – the ‘celebs’ and the ‘plebs’ – against one another for the R1 million prize.

In a fantastic fourth season, nine local celebrities and ten regular South African have been marooned on a Maldivian island where they have to “outwit, outlast and outplay” one another to win the coveted title of Sole Survivor, and production company Endemol have thrown a few exciting, game-changing elements into the mix, like The Curse of the Black Cowrie.

Don’t Look Down are again handling the show’s online properties, implementing a multi-platform converged content strategy to actively engage audiences on social networking platforms Twitter and Facebook, as well as the official website, where viewers can enjoy exclusive, online-only video directly after each broadcast.

The additional clips include the ousted contestants getting ‘Back to Reality’ after the dreaded Tribal Council, ‘Messages in a Bottle’ sent back home by the hungry and homesick Survivors, and never-before-seen Director’s Cut exclusives.

After successfully wrapping up the third season of Survivor SA: Santa Carolina in 2010, this is the fifth time Don’t Look Down has handled the format (Survivor SA: Panama, Survivor SA: Malaysia, Survivor SA: Santa Carolina and Survivor: Africa).
