Big Brother Africa is back, bigger, better and bolder than ever!

One of the continent’s biggest shows is about to hit our screens on 7 September 2014 and we are hoping to make it the biggest and best online Big Brother platform yet.

Following on from last year’s Big Brother Africa, The Chase where the Namibian beauty, Dillish cinched the title of The Chase winner, Big Brother Africa Season 9 will see Botswana, Ghana, Ethiopia, Malawi, Namibia, Nigeria, Kenya, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, South Africa, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia and Zimbabwe contributing to the mix. You may have noticed Rwanda making its first appearance; this is because Rwanda has been identified as one of the key DStv subscriber growth markets, so it made sense to have a Rwandan contingency in the House. You’ll notice Angola is missing; this is only because Big Brother has just ticked off an African first in the form of an all Angolan Big Brother, which concluded on the 27th of July 2014. The countries participating are selected based on the popularity of the series format in those markets, as well as the large DStv subscriber bases established in these countries.

Big Brother Africa will run for a total of 91 days, with the Finale scheduled for Sunday 7 December 2014 and will be screened live 24/7 for the duration on DStv channels 197 and 198. GOtv audiences will also be able to watch highlights from the show.

The Don’t Look Down new media team will be dedicated to delivering up-to-the-minute doses of real time Big Brother Africa content as the Series unfolds. You can catch all the Big Brother Africa social action on the dedicated Facebook page, Twitter account or the official Big Brother Africa website. The countdown has begun…
