Let’s get cooking for round 3


MasterChef SA is being served up for a third serving, and after receiving an International Emmy Nomination for Season 2, the new series promises to be dare we say it, spicier than before.

Picking up right where we left off, Don’t Look Down (DLD), on behalf of DStv Digital Media (DStv DM), will be maintaining and managing all of the MasterChef SA’s online properties: the website, Facebook, Twitter, and newly created accounts on Instagram and Pinterest.

The website will be a one stop shop for everything a fan wants to know, or anyone else who wants to further information about the show.

What’s new this year is that the Contestants themselves will show you around backstage with their own videos diaries; selfies and other images, taken on specially provided mobile devices. During the shoot, a DLD team member provided daily briefs on what should be recorded. This is how everyone at home will get a peek into the show, like never seen before!

There will be exclusive video interviews shot with guests, Contestants, and Judges, including profiles on Benny, Pete, and newbie Judge on board: Reuben Riffel.

Other website content will also include regular reviews, news, recipes, image galleries, and video highlights from the show itself. This will all be shared the social platforms during the show on Thursday nights on M-Net, and staggered out throughout theweek. Those behind-the-scenes images from the Contestants will be posted to Instagram, showing everyone what really happened when the cameras were turned off.

Since the Facebook pages for the Contestants were so popular during Season 2, we will once again create, and maintain these pages. Contestants are given access to them, so they can update freely on anything related to the show, their cooking progress, and their selfies. We’re big fans of those!
